Radicato Breckenridge
"Few places have a way of capturing your heart like Radicato Breckenridge does."
One visit to Radicato, nestled in vibrant Breckenridge, and I guarantee you'll be as smitten as I am.
It was a midweek evening, and the mood was delightful as I walked into the restaurant.
The warm, inviting ambiance immediately made me feel at home.
The place was buzzing with the soft hum of conversations, clinking glasses, and wonderful aromas of Italian cuisine wafting in the air.
The Tuna tartare and Fritto Misto were perfect for starters.
Each bite was a testament to the culinary skill that goes into every dish at Radicato.
But the star of the evening was the Branzini, cooked to perfection and served family style.
This whole fish was quite the feast and brought a homely touch to the dinner.
As the evening wore on and the plates emptied, I found myself appreciating the impeccable service.
But it's not just the food or the service that makes Radicato stand out, it's the entire experience - the comfortable atmosphere, the reasonable pricing, and the downright delicious food.
Oaxacan Bites
Trust me, my taste buds have never been the same since I discovered Oaxacan Bites.
As someone who knows and loves tacos, I guarantee this place offers the best in our state.
Each taco is a flavor journey, filled with just the right amount of spice and a perfect balance of acidity that leaves you craving more.
The magic begins when you place your order.
I still vividly remember the time I walked up to the counter, my mouth watering at the thought of the delicacies I was about to devour.
The tacos are cooked to perfection right in front of you, a tantalizing sight that builds up anticipation like nothing else.
The steak, in particular, is cooked to perfection.
And the corn tortillas?
They are so soft, they almost melt in your mouth.
I've tried all the tacos they offer, and let me tell you, each one is a masterpiece.
But the one that truly stands out is the al pastor taco.
It's been rated a solid 10 out of 10 by many of my fellow food lovers, and I wholeheartedly agree.
You can really taste the pineapple - a surprising but delicious twist.
If you have an allergy or just don't like pineapple, you can easily request to leave it out.
The chorizo burrito is another favorite, though I feel the chorizo is a bit salty for my palette.
However, that doesn't stop me from ordering it again the next time I visit.
The tortas, too, are worth a try.
Just ask the gentleman behind the counter to make his favorite for you, and you won't be disappointed.
Sometimes, after a long day of hiking around town, I like to stop by Oaxacan Bites for a quick dinner.
The prices are great, and the food is authentic, delicious, and satisfying.
Ridge Street Kitchen
There's a little place on the Ridge that you must visit.
It's the kind of place that, once discovered, becomes a staple in your life.
A go-to for every event, big or small.
A place where quality, flavor, and passion are evident in every bite.
That place is Ridge Street Kitchen.
I remember the first time I stepped into this unfussy lunch café, I was immediately captivated by the aroma of freshly prepared soups, the vibrant colors of well-dressed salads, and the enticing display of sweet treats.
It was like stepping into a food lover's haven.
But the real magic unfolded when I took my first bite.
The sandwiches here are something else, every element perfect, from the freshly baked bread that cradles the filling to the top-quality meats, cheeses, and veggies that fill it.
And don't even get me started on the dips they make in-house.
Let's just say I've been known to take a tub or two home with me.
But Ridge Street Kitchen isn't just about the food.
It's about the people who make it.
The mastermind behind the culinary delights, Kelly, and her team are simply extraordinary.
They catered my sister's wedding last summer, and their professionalism, skill, and passion for food was apparent in every morsel that graced our plates.
The whole town was talking about it for weeks.
Rootstalk Breckenridge
I must confess, after visiting the local gem Rootstalk Breckenridge, my standards for fine dining have never been the same.
This place has become my ultimate destination for celebrating all the special moments in life, and they've never disappointed me.
Just as an example, I recall my last visit there.

Each dish was a work of art, meticulously crafted and bursting with flavor.
But what truly was the icing on the cake was the wine.
What also sets Rootstalk Breckenridge apart is not just their delicious culinary offerings.
They accommodated our 6-year-old son at the chef's table and allowed him to watch the artists at work.
Their friendly and patient explanations of each dish and wine pairing were enlightening, making the evening educational as well as delectable.
Needless to say, if you are considering treating yourself to a memorable dining experience, Rootstalk Breckenridge should be at the top of your list.

Oh, what a delight it is to have stumbled upon the recently opened, The Carlin, right here in our beloved Breckenridge.
Living in this town, you grow to appreciate the charm and the quiet, but every now and then, a place like The Carlin Breckenridge comes along and breathes a new kind of life into our Main Street.
Let's talk about their food.
I'm telling you, it's off the charts!
I’m still dreaming about their pickled mussels.
I swear, they've got to be the most delicious thing I've ever tasted.
And the vibe?
Coolest I've experienced in a while.
At The Carlin Breckenridge, service is not just a routine - it's an experience.
It's attentive, genuine, and never overbearing.
It’s just the kind of service that keeps you coming back.
Their menu is intriguing, and every dish seems to tell a story.
If you, like me, have a soft spot for seafood, their offerings are a dream come true.
Believe it or not, most of their seafood is flown in daily.
What sets The Carlin apart is not just the phenomenal dining experience, but the lodging as well.
Just above the restaurant, they have these beautifully appointed rooms that are as comfortable as they are stylish.
I had friends who spent a weekend there and they raved about how cool and breezy their room was, even without air conditioning.
Oh, and did I mention the speakeasy downstairs?
That’s right, they offer a late-night happy hour that has been a game-changer for Breckenridge’s night scene.
Tin Plate Pizza
You know, it's easy to get lost in the magic that is Breckenridge.
Between the stunning mountain views and the air of alpine charm, this quaint little town is bursting with hidden gems.
One such gem I stumbled upon is the Tin Plate Pizza, a pizza joint tucked away in a chicly refurbished mining cabin from the 1800s.
From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere.
There's something about the rustic charm that takes you back in time while offering a cozy and comfortable setting.
Visit their website at Tin Plate Pizza to get a taste of what they offer.
Their menu is a delightful fusion of classic and creative pizza flavors.
My personal favorite is Jay's Vegetarian pizza - loaded with fresh, vibrant toppings, it's a treat for your taste buds.
And if you're a meat-lover, give their meatballs a try.
They are juicy, perfectly seasoned, and an absolute delight.
Don't get me started on their Caesar salad - it's a heavenly concoction that somehow manages to steal the show every time.
Pair these savory offerings with their appetizing starters, and you've got yourself an unforgettable dining experience.
One of the best features of Tin Plate is their service.
They're friendly, prompt, and always ready with insightful recommendations.
And when the mountain air gets a little chilly, they even offer blankets to keep you cozy and comfortable.
To top it all off, the outdoor seating offers spectacular views of the alpine landscape.
There's something incredibly serene about enjoying a slice of heavenly pizza while gazing at the breathtaking scenery.
Above the Blue "REDDZ"
Stepping into Above the Blue "REDDZ" is like stepping into a food dream.
Nestled in our town, this no-frills counter serves an array of classic comfort foods that always hit the spot.
Picture this - meatball subs with the most mouthwatering sauce, tastefully done gyros, and a falafel that has a cult following of its own.
And the best part?
The prices are ridiculously reasonable.
I've often found myself scratching my head, wondering how they manage to dish out such flavorful food at these prices.
Then again, good food doesn't always have to leave a dent in your wallet.
And at REDDZ, it's all about the experience and the taste, rather than the grandeur.
When it comes to service, they are super fast.
There was this one time when our family of seven decided to grab a quick dinner, and to our surprise, our food was ready in under 10 minutes.
It's also a fantastic spot to enjoy some outdoor eating.
You can grab your food and head over to the nearby river, where the picturesque view adds to the overall experience.
A special shoutout to their cheese steak sandwiches - they are a meat lover's paradise, stuffed generously and tasting out of this world.
And even though it's a food stand, they make sure everything is cooked fresh.
However, do bear in mind that seating can be a bit of a challenge since it's a small setup.
Here's a little tip - grab your food from Above the Blue "REDDZ" and hop across to the coffee shop on the other side of the street.
Unwind by the fireplace as you relish your meal.
Plus, for those who crave a late-night munch, REDDZ stays open until late.
La Française Bistrot
Oh là là!
If you're looking for an authentic French culinary experience right here in Colorado, let me tell you about La Française Bistrot.
Bonjour, taste buds!
Unbelievable, really.
Everything from the beef tartare to the pear dessert is fresh, flavorful, and executed to perfection.
I'm lucky enough to frequent this magical little corner of France nestled in the heart of Breckenridge quite often and, let me assure you, it never disappoints.
The escargots, mussels, and delectable pear dessert are the stuff of dreams.
And the bone marrow?
A gastronomic delight like no other.
My friends, it's not just about the food at La Française Bistrot.
It's the entire experience.
Pair your meal with a bottle from their carefully selected wine list, et voilà!
You have yourself a dining experience that's 'au-delà de magnifique' or beyond amazing for the non-French speakers.
And if you ever decide to drop by, do pay a visit to the restroom.
It's a bit of a letdown compared to the rest of the establishment but, hey, no place is perfect, right?
Semplice Cafe
There's something invigorating about starting the day with a breakfast burrito from Semplice Cafe.
It's one of those laid-back places where you can grab a delicious bite and a piping hot cup of roasted coffee early in the morning.
The simplicity of the walk up stand and the small patio create a homely atmosphere that adds to the charm of the place.
The patio, though compact with just four tables, is the perfect little nook to enjoy your meal.
It's not uncommon for me to spend more time than I anticipate, soaking up the sun and watching the world go by.
It's a great spot to enjoy a quiet moment before diving into the hustle and bustle of the day.
The local burrito is a must-try when you visit.
It’s a unique blend of flavors that you wouldn't find anywhere else.
One bite and you would understand why I consider it the best burrito I've ever had.
And if you're not in the mood for a burrito, their paninis are equally impressive, each one as original as the last one.
While Semplice Cafe may lack a cozier space to dine in, it more than makes up for it with the option to order food to go.
Imagine waking up to their freshly prepared, delicious food in the comfort of your own home.
It's a culinary experience worth indulging in every morning.
Castaways Cove
Who needs to jet off to the islands when you have a Hawaiian paradise right in downtown Breckenridge?
Let me tell you, Castaways Cove brings the aloha spirit in spades.
Nestled right next to the Blue River, it offers a beautiful and serene setting that's perfect for unwinding after a long day.
One bite of their poke bowl and you'd swear you were on the beaches of Maui.
Trust me, I've eaten in Hawaii and this is as authentic as it gets.
The flavors are bold, the ingredients are fresh, and their house-made sauces are just out of this world.
And don't even get me started on the Spam musubi – it's mind-blowingly good, with a wonderful mix of textures and the perfect balance of flavors.
And it's not just about the food at Castaways Cove.
They're always quick to bring out water for the pups – a thoughtful touch that shows how they really go above and beyond for their customers.
Plus, they're super conscientious about gluten-free options and take extra care for those with celiac.
Now, if you're looking for a deal, make sure you don't miss out on their happy hour.
They've got $6 snacks and fantastic drink specials.
It's a great way to try out their menu without breaking the bank.
Mountain Flying Fish
There's something absolutely mesmerizing about watching a seasoned sushi chef at work.
At Mountain Flying Fish in Breckenridge, you get to witness this culinary ballet up close in a chic 3rd-floor location.
The first thing that caught my eye upon entering was the care and precision with which the sushi chef crafted each roll and sashimi plate.
The meticulous knife work and precision plating were riveting to watch, the quality of the fish was palpable, and the entire process felt like a masterclass in sushi preparation.
As a sushi lover, this was nothing short of a dream come true.
On my first visit, I decided to indulge in the 'omakase', essentially a chef's choice of 9-12 pieces of sushi.
It was one of the best decisions I've made.
The sushi chef carefully selected each piece of fish, which he excitedly told me, were flown in from Japan daily.
The pride he took in presenting each slice was evident.
Throughout the course of my meal, I had a few familiar favorites and some new experiences that I may never get to relive unless I visit Mountain Flying Fish again or make a trip to Japan.
Notable mentions were the tuna belly, the sea urchin from Hokkaido, and the sea eel.
The sea urchin was a revelation, a delicacy I had previously been hesitant to try but am now a complete convert.
Soupz On
I've been to Soupz On, a compact eatery nestled in our local mall more times than I can count.
It's the perfect pit-stop for a quick lunch, especially when the weather is nippy.
Their menu, which rotates with inventive soups, is complemented by an array of sandwiches and salads.
You need to bear in mind that it's primarily a take-out place, with no seating arrangements.
On a chilly day, I find comfort in savoring their soups, each spoonful feels like a warm hug.
They claim to make everything fresh daily, and I can vouch for that.
There was a time when I had their clam chowder, albeit a bit heavy on the potato side, but nonetheless tasty.
Their sandwiches, although pre-made, have always been a delight.
I specially love their bread - soft and fluffy.
It's true the sandwiches are served cold, and the bread can get a bit soggy if not eaten immediately, but they make for a decent hearty meal.
And for all vegetarians out there, Soupz On has many options to choose from.
If you're lucky enough, you might catch their "Cheeseburger in Paradise" soup, a local favorite.
It's only available once a week and trust me, it sells out pretty fast.
It's a shame that it isn't a regular on their menu, but when you get the chance, it's a must-try, unlike anything you've ever tasted.
Sure, Soupz On might be a tad on the expensive side with the small soup priced at 8 dollars and sandwiches at 10 each, but it's a small price to pay for a quick, wholesome meal.
Just brace your taste buds for some hearty soups and remember - the best experiences often come in small packages.
Mimo Fancy Tapas
Picture this.
A quiet, cozy evening in the heart of Colorado where the chill of the mountain air is perfectly combated with the warmth of a bustling kitchen and the promise of delicious food.
Yes, this is Mimo Fancy Tapas, my go-to spot for some appetizing Spanish cuisine.
Once, I arrived early - around 5 pm, and the place was all mine.
The bartender, a friendly chap, was more than eager to help me navigate the menu.
On his suggestion, I tried the Tosta de setas and it was love at the first bite.
It was perfectly complemented by a sweet finish of Crema Catalana, a traditional Spanish dessert.
But what's a Spanish experience without some seafood, right?
So, on my next visit, I ordered the seafood paella.
And I must say, it was a delight.
The rice was cooked just right and the blend of different sea creatures was like a symphony of flavors.
However, that's not all.
Mimo Fancy Tapas also boasts an extensive cocktail selection.
Whether you want to wind down after a long day or kick-start a fun night, their concoctions are sure to set the perfect tone.
Hearthstone Restaurant
There's a certain kind of magic in the air when you enter Hearthstone Restaurant, and it's not just from the stunning mountain vistas or the elegance of its historic decor.
Nestled in the heart of my hometown, Breckenridge, Hearthstone is my go-to spot for an unforgettable dining experience.
Each visit to Hearthstone is a culinary adventure, with the menu featuring an imaginative take on American cuisine.
I absolutely adore their sweet corn soup, a delightful play on a classic that never fails to impress.
Their spicy salmon latke is another favorite, combining bold flavors in a beautifully balanced dish.
One simply cannot overlook their Alaskan black cod and spaghetti squash pad Thai - they're truly a must-try.
But the enchantment doesn't stop there.
The waitstaff is always attentive, and their knowledge of the food and drink pairings is impressive.
They have a knack for making everyone feel special - whether it's your first time dining there or you're a regular like me.
The Hearthstone Hearthstone Restaurant experience is not complete without sampling their desserts.
Their espresso cake, with its luscious Oreo bottom and melt-in-your-mouth texture, is the stuff dreams are made of.
I often order extra dishes to share with friends and family - they're always a hit!

Are those snow-capped peaks calling your name yet?
You've gotta climb up to Breckinridge and enjoy a meal at Twist.
Nestled in a cozy cottage setting with a deck facing the mountain range, the restaurant is an embodiment of rustic elegance.

The lamb shank here is simply to die for and the trout, it's like having the river on your plate.
For those with a penchant for seafood, the Mahi Mahi is a must-try.
The extensive wine collection and a unique cocktail menu are the perfect accompaniments to your meal.
Twist isn't just about the food though.
It's about the people.
The prices may be on the higher side, but for the quality of food and the experience, it's absolutely worth every penny.
The Crown
Ever been in Breckenridge and in need of a warm and comfy place to sit back and relax?
That's exactly what The Crown offers, and it never disappoints.
Picture this: a coffee shop that serves not only great coffee, but also mouthwatering sandwiches, delicious baked goods, and refreshing cocktails.
The Crown, conveniently located in downtown Breckenridge, is just the place.
The moment you step in, you're greeted with a cozy setting replete with wood accents that instantly soothe your senses.
The plush couches and crackling fireplace make it an enchanting place where you can escape the cold and enjoy a hot cup of java.
It's not just a haven for those who love their coffee, it's also a workspace for people who want to be productive.
With tables just perfect for your laptop, it's essentially a home office away from home.
But it's not just about the coffee.
The Crown serves food that leaves you craving for more.
The pecan salad is simply divine, and the chile, while spicy, is a flavorful explosion in your mouth.
If you're here for breakfast, do try the bagel breakfast sammies - they're simply out of this world.
And yes, you can definitely enjoy a cup of cotton candy ice cream before noon without feeling a tad bit guilty!
Amazing Grace
Walking down the streets of Breckenridge, you might just miss it if you're not paying attention.
Tucked away just a block off main street is an adorable little cafe that goes by the name Amazing Grace.
It's a cozy, health-focused spot where you'll find me quite often.
It's the kind of place where they know my order before I sit down.
Yes, the vegan strawberry chocolate chip muffin, please!
And don't forget the daily smoothie.
It's a beauty, and the perfect remedy to refresh and rejuvenate after a few fun nights out.
It's not just the food that keeps me coming back.
The atmosphere is something special too.
Set in a historic building, the vibe is super cozy.
It's like stepping into the home of a good friend.
The service at Amazing Grace is always outstanding, and there's nothing like cozying up with a good book at one of their small tables designed for 2-6 people.
Don't let the size of the place fool you, the portions are generous and the food is delectably filling.
Bird and Cow
If you're ever in town and looking for some comfort food, the Bird and Cow is a must-visit place.
It's not just the burgers that are a hit with us locals, but the overall warm and inviting vibe that sets it apart.
One visit to the place and you'll know why Bird and Cow has been a staple in our community for so many years.
I remember one time, after a long day of work, I was craving something fulfilling and satisfying.
That's when I decided to head to Bird and Cow.
The efficient service at Bird and Cow is something that you rarely come across these days.
Now, let's talk about the food.
I ordered their famous Philly cheesesteak and a deluxe chicken sandwich.
The sandwich was packed with flavors and the chicken was cooked to perfection.
Every bite was an explosion of flavors.
The freshly cut, crispy fries complemented the sandwiches perfectly.
And oh, the drink!
The limeade/blueberry concoction was so refreshing that it quickly became my favorite.
But the star of the evening was the snickers pie.
Being a dessert lover, I was eager to try it, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations.
It was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal.
The prices were reasonable, and the quality was top-notch.
South Ridge Seafood Grill
Ahoy seafood lovers!
Welcome aboard the fabulous culinary journey that is the South Ridge Seafood Grill.
I find myself hoisting the sail to this happening spot quite often, and for good reason.
Set in a wonderfully stylish, nautical-themed setting, the restaurant simply redefines the seafood dining experience.
My first tie-in with South Ridge Seafood Grill was as much a treat to the palate as it was to the soul.
"Fresh from the ocean, onto your plate" - they truly live up to this motto.
I'm still savoring the memory of that perfectly cooked Scottish Salmon, flaky and moist, that I had once.
It's not just the seafood that's the star here; even their salads, like the garden-fresh Caesar salad, are an absolute delight.
In my humble opinion, nothing sums up a meal better than their sinfully decadent chocolate fudge cake, a slice of heaven on a plate!
And the service?
Absolutely shipshape!
I have to make a special mention of Elijah, who was genuinely charming and efficient.
But the real clincher for me is the rooftop dining option.
There's just something magical about live music floating on the cool, 70-degree Breckenridge breeze while you're gazing at a picturesque view, savoring your meal.
Aurum Food & Wine Breckenridge

Superb.
Downstairs at Eric's
There's a little spot tucked away in Breckenridge that I've found myself returning to again and again.
Brimming with a warm, inviting atmosphere, mouthwatering eats, and the ever-enjoyable buzz of sports events on HDTV, Downstairs at Eric's has become my go-to.
You see, this isn't just any après-ski pub.
It's a family-friendly hub that masterfully caters to everyone's food preferences.
I recall one evening, in the heart of summer when the place was humming with both locals and tourists.
I didn't mind the small wait, it gave me the chance to duck into their game room downstairs, a nostalgic haven with classics like Mario Cart.
We started with a few casual comfort food items – pretzel sticks, sweet potato fries, and of course, their famous buffalo wings.
Now, being a regular, I can tell you a little secret - the baked wings are something else.
Truly, the best I've ever had.
But if you're more of a traditional wing lover, fear not, their regular wings are just as good.
As for the main meals, they arrived promptly and did not disappoint.
If you're a burger enthusiast like me, be prepared.
The burgers at Downstairs at Eric's are no joke - they're large, perfectly cooked, and satisfyingly filling.
And if you're craving something lighter, their salads are teeming with fresh ingredients.
Before I forget, make sure to check out their extensive list of beers on tap.
They've got a fantastic selection that even the biggest beer connoisseur will appreciate.
Oh, and if you're a pizza lover, let me tell you, Eric's pizzas are truly unique - a must-try!
Briar Rose Chophouse & Saloon
It was a Friday evening when I found myself looking for a place to satiate my cravings for a juicy steak.

As I walked into the rustic-chic surrounds, the buzzing happy-hour scene filled the air with an irresistible aroma of sizzling steaks and laughter.

I ordered their famous Rib-eye and Top Sirloin, and I must tell you, every bite was a party in my mouth.
The steaks were perfectly cooked, tender and juicy, with flavors bursting in every mouthful.
But the real shine of the night?
Their exclusive wine list.
The unique and elite selection of wines at Briar Rose Chophouse & Saloon was simply astounding.
I chose a bottle that perfectly complemented my steak, and the night was turning out to be a fulfilling one.
As I ended my meal, I couldn't resist the temptation of their famous carrot cake.
And I must say, it was the sweetest end to my night.
Breckenridge Brewery & Pub
There's something uniquely inviting about the Breckenridge Brewery & Pub, a cozy spot nestled in the heart of my town.
You’ll find me here on most weekday evenings, drawn back time and again by the lively atmosphere and the tantalizing aroma of pub grub that seems to fill the air.
It's not just a microbrewery and bar.
It's a place of camaraderie, where laughter echoes off the TV-enhanced setting and conversations flow as freely as the craft beers.
Get here early in summer, and you'll find it bustling with life – a testament to its popularity.
The first thing I usually do is order a flight of beers.
You can customize it from a wide selection of brews, from ales to stouts to porters and everything in between.
Pair it with edamame and artichoke dip and you've got yourself a treat.
But it's not just about the drinks.
Oh no, the food at Breckenridge Brewery & Pub is equally exciting.
Whether you fancy fish, burgers, salads, or steak, it’s all here.
My personal favourite has been the fish, but to be honest, I’ve never been let down by any of their dishes.
Each meal, served in generous portions and plated beautifully, strikes a fine balance between taste and presentation.
Step outside onto the patio and you're greeted with stunning views and a pet-friendly environment.
In fact, the build-your-own-burger is a hit with both the two-legged and four-legged patrons.
But what truly sets this place apart is its unabashed commitment to creating an authentic ski lodge brewery atmosphere.
I can't help but feel at home with the excellent beer selection, the wild game meatloaf that’s rich and savory, the tasty trout with sriracha lime butter sauce, and the sound of good music in the background.
Myla Rose Saloon
Imagine an evening of delightful food, refreshing drinks, and a mesmerizing mountain view.
That's what you get at Myla Rose Saloon, a place I can't help but frequent.
One of the highlights of this place is their happy hour!
The margaritas are not to be missed either!
But it's not just about the drinks, the food at Myla Rose Saloon is something you'd write home about.
One unforgettable evening, we were stranded near the lodge due to an accident and had nowhere to go.
Despite the kitchen being closed, the people at Myla Rose welcomed us in and served us a meal that warmed our hearts.
That was a night that truly testified to the kind-heartedness of the people there and sealed Myla Rose's place in our hearts forever.
Another evening that stands out is when we decided to escape the downtown noise and chose Myla Rose for dinner.
Their new recruit, Zach, made our evening memorable with his excellent service.
Every dish they served was a delightful surprise, making it an evening to cherish.
BreckFast
The sun's just peeking over the Rockies, and I find myself drawn to one place - BreckFast, a cozy corner of Colorado.
The smell of freshly brewed iced coffee wafts through the air, accompanied by the sizzle of breakfast tacos being prepared.
As I push open the door, I'm greeted by a warm, relaxed atmosphere.
This snug eatery, always bustling with activity, serves up some of the most delightful handheld American breakfast fare.
The breakfast tacos, loaded with potatoes and green chili’s, offer a Tex-Mex twist to the morning.
Every bite is a burst of incredible flavors that wakes you right up and gets you ready for the day.
For those who prefer a more classic breakfast, BreckFast doesn’t disappoint.
I often find myself torn between their delicious omelettes and fluffy pancakes, always a hit with the little ones.
And if you're feeling adventurous, you can even ask for a scooped bagel, just like I did on a whim one day.
To my surprise, it came out perfect!
The service here is always friendly and quick, making it a convenient choice for a quick, satisfying meal.
But what really sets BreckFast apart is its unique offerings.
My pand I have been particularly fond of their stuffed French toast.
They serve it with whipped cream that's so wonderful, you'd want to savor it forever.
The Hoosier Breakfast Sammy is a dish that stands out, and the Whales Tail Burrito is another local favorite.
The chorizo, packed with flavor and just the right amount of spice, takes the burrito to a whole new level.
If you're visiting with your family, the tasty Main Street Burrito is a sure-fire hit with the kids.
Penthouse Restaurant Cafe & Bar
The tucked-away gem of Breckenridge, Penthouse Restaurant Cafe & Bar, is my go-to place for authentic Jamaican cuisine, right here in the heart of Colorado.
Tucked conveniently just outside The Village at Breckenridge, it's an easy stop for a hearty meal after a day out.
Trust me when I say their ox tail delight is sublime.
The meat, oh so tender, practically melts in your mouth, and the flavors are so perfectly balanced, it leaves you craving for more.
And let's not forget about their coleslaw, a complimentary side with every meal, that's fresh and tangy and adds just the right crunch to your dish.
But what truly sets this place apart is the passion and friendliness of the two brothers who run it.
Their love for their craft is evident in every dish they serve.
From their jerk chicken wrap to their jerk chicken wings, every bite is a taste explosion.
The Penthouse is not just about good food though.
It's an experience in itself.
The portion sizes are impressive – they don't skimp on serving you a full, satisfying meal.
The flavors are rich, the ingredients fresh, and you can tell that there is so much care and attention put into every dish.
It's always a pleasure to support small businesses, especially when they deliver such high-quality food and service.
Blue Moose Restaurant
Every time I lace up my hiking boots for a trail up the Quandary Peak, I know exactly where I'm going to replenish my energy afterwards - the Blue Moose Restaurant.
I guess you can call it a tradition now.
Nestled in the heart of Breckenridge, this cozy eatery serves up the best American breakfast and brunch you could hope for.
After a challenging hike, Blue Moose Restaurant's bagel sandwich is an absolute lifesaver.
It's like getting a warm hug from the inside.
Their iced coffee, with its robust flavor, is the perfect liquid accompaniment to wash it all down.
These guys know how to make you feel right at home, with their friendly faces and attentive service.
Breckenridge Distillery Restaurant
It's not every day you come across a place that blends rustic charm with chic elegance, all while serving knockout food and drinks.
That's Breckenridge Distillery Restaurant for me, my favorite after-work hangout spot.
Trust me when I say, the food here is mouth-wateringly good.
The Grilled Bang Bang Shrimp Rice Bowl is a personal favorite of mine - it's light, flavorful, and just the right amount of filling.
Now, if you're a fan of spirits, especially bourbon, make sure you set aside some time for the tasting.
It's an informative and fun experience.
I remember trying the two free sips before deciding to pay $8 for the three samples of the higher-end bourbons.
Trust me - it was worth every cent.
The Madeira Finish gives a beautifully subtle taste, while the Rum Cask Finish offers a rich, deep flavor.
Don't forget to try the Bourbon Whiskey Blend.
It's their "basic" offering, but believe me, there's nothing basic about it.
I enjoyed it so much that I took a bottle back home.
It's the perfect way to remember a great night out at Breckenridge Distillery Restaurant.
Final Thoughts
Breckenridge may be known for its ski slopes and gorgeous mountain views, but the dining scene is definitely not to be overlooked.
And if you're looking for a sweet treat, The Crown offers some of the best pastries I've ever tasted.
Whether you're here for the slopes or just passing through, make sure to take some time out to explore the culinary delights that Breckenridge has to offer.
