Taza Kabob & Grill

As a fan of Mediterranean cuisine, I was thrilled to discover Taza Kabob & Grill in my local area. I came across their website and decided to give it a try.

My experience can only be summed up as phenomenal!

The food is incredibly fresh, and the dishes transport me to the Mediterranean with their authentic flavors.

Having heard great things about their gyro platter and chicken shawarma, I decided to try them out and was not disappointed.

The gyro platter was amazing, and the chicken shawarma packed so much taste.

I also fell in love with their hummus, pita bread, and falafel. Not to mention the unique and delightful gyro fries!

My partner, who can be quite picky about shawarma, absolutely loved it too.

I even tried their chicken kabob plate, which was a flavorful delight, and their lemon mint slush was the perfect refreshing beverage to accompany the meal.

The friendly service and welcoming atmosphere make Taza Kabob & Grill a must-visit spot for locals and visitors alike.

Plus, it's great to have another halal option in the Shreveport/Bossier City area.

The Port

Last weekend, I decided to try out The Port, a new seafood and oyster bar inside the Horseshoe Casino.

The atmosphere was lively, and the place was immaculate.

As I walked in, the display of fresh seafood instantly caught my eye.

I started off with their fried calamari, which turned out to be the best I've ever had.

The charbroiled oysters were also amazing – definitely a must-try!

The menu offered a wide variety of options, so I decided to go with the New Orleans salmon and gumbo, both of which were incredibly tasty and generously portioned.

The prices were quite reasonable too.

We also tried strawberry cheesecake for dessert, and the flavors were absolutely delicious.

Zaap Thai Cuisine

I've tried many Thai places in the area, but Zaap Thai Cuisine - Authentic Thai Food has always been my go-to spot.

Their cozy and family-owned restaurant is just perfect for a delicious and casual meal.

I recently took my visiting friends there, and they absolutely loved it!

We ordered a variety of dishes from their menu, including green curry and Pad Thai with chicken.

They nailed the flavors and spice levels, making every bite satisfying and enjoyable. My friends kept mentioning how glad they were to have tried Zaap Thai during their visit.

Here's the link to their location, so you can try it for yourself.

Another thing I love about Zaap Thai is their hidden gem of a dessert - mango sticky rice.

It's not on the menu, but trust me, it's a must-try.

Fat Tuesday's Sandwich Shop and Bakery

I recently had lunch at Fat Tuesday's Sandwich Shop and Bakery, and must say, I had a pretty good experience.

I went there around 11:40 am, and it was pretty busy, but they still managed to serve my order in a reasonable time.

I tried the French Dip sandwich, and it was delicious, although I found the meat to be a bit dry.

The Cajun Potato Salad was flavorful, but I wasn't a fan of its consistency.

They also have a variety of cheesecakes, so I went for the toffee slice, which was good but not as creamy as I expected.

My friend, who accompanied me, ordered the Cajun sandwich and seemed to be satisfied with the level of spice.

It turned out to be a great choice, as it was loaded with delicious ingredients.

The place can get quite busy, so finding a table inside might be a challenge, but they do have outdoor seating available.

Cascio's Market Bistro

One of my go-to spots for a quick and delicious bite is Cascio's Market Bistro.

This long-running establishment offers counter-serve sandwiches, pizza, Italian dishes, and housemade sausage.

I can't tell you how many times I've come here on a busy day for a tasty meal!

The last time I visited Cascio's, I noticed that they had remodeled the restaurant since my previous visit a couple of years ago.

The new look is refreshing, and the atmosphere is even more inviting than before.

However, what truly keeps me coming back to Cascio's is their amazing service.

Of course, I can't forget to mention the food.

My all-time favorite from Cascio's is the Cajun Turkey Melt. It's so juicy and packed with flavor that I can't help but order it every time I come here.

I've also tried some of their other dishes, such as their pizza and Italian cuisine, and I've never been disappointed.

Johns Steak & Seafood

I recently had the pleasure of dining at 2 Johns Steak & Seafood, and I must say, it has become my new favorite restaurant in Bossier City!

My partner surprised me with a date night and made reservations, and the restaurant exceeded all our expectations.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Richard at the complimentary valet service. He was extremely professional and attentive, making sure we had a smooth entry and minimal wait time.

The interior of the restaurant had a charming and traditional decor, which was complemented by displays of local art and a pianist playing in the background.

I indulged in the crab cakes and macaroni & cheese for my entree, while my partner enjoyed the filet Oscar special.

The rustic Caesar salad was a unique twist on the classic dish and was absolutely delicious.

To top it all off, the drinks were fantastic – the French 75 quickly became my go-to.

We ended the night on a high note with the best creme brûlée I've ever had.

Flying Heart Brewing & Pub

One of my go-to places for a fun night out with friends in the East Bank is Flying Heart Brewing & Pub.

I've been here quite a few times, and it's always bustling with people.

The food here is nothing short of amazing.

I'm a huge fan of their cheese sticks, which are more like a thin-crust pizza with cheese and no sauce.

I've also tried their pretzel, and both are definitely worth a try.

They have a wide variety of pizza styles, and I'm always excited to explore their menu. The best part is that they have a new specialty pizza every month!

I'm not much of a drinker, but I have enjoyed their Louisiana Amber on a few occasions.

My friends love the fact that they can leave the pub with their drinks in an approved container, thanks to the East Bank laws.

The atmosphere is lively and perfect for a date or a night out with friends.

Plus, the building itself is historic, as it used to be an old fire station.

They even have outside dining, which is a nice touch.

And to top it all off, they have ample parking space at the back of the building.

Chick O' Fish

After a long search around the town, I finally found a satisfying Philly cheesesteak at Chick O' Fish.

The bread was soft, the steak tender and well-seasoned, and most importantly, it had melty cheese and plenty of sauce, so it wasn't dry at all.

It may not be the absolute best cheesesteak I've ever eaten, but it's definitely the best I've found in Shreveport/Bossier.

The customer service at Chick O' Fish was also top-notch.

I've also heard that their fried chicken fingers, shrimp, and catfish fingers are all fantastic.

Everything is cooked to order and served fresh, hot, and full of flavor.

The restaurant itself is very clean, and so far, I haven't come across any negative reviews about the place. I'm looking forward to trying more of their menu items soon!

Crawfish Tyme

Let me tell you about an amazing experience I had at Crawfish Tyme recently.

As someone who's always up for trying new places, I decided to give this place a shot after hearing so many good things about it from friends and online reviews.

From the moment I walked in, I could tell I was in for a treat.

I ordered their signature crawfish combo, and I couldn't believe how delicious it looked.

The crawfish were huge and cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of spice.

The corn and potatoes that came with my combo were also amazing, adding to the overall enjoyment of my meal.

As I enjoyed my food, I couldn't help but notice the positive atmosphere in the place.

BeauxJax Crafthouse

One of my favorite spots in town has to be BeauxJax Crafthouse. As someone who loves Cajun cuisine, this funky hub never disappoints.

The po'boys and gumbo are must-haves for me, and I can't resist trying their house cocktails each time I visit.

The atmosphere at BeauxJax is always lively with TVs and live music, making it a great place to unwind with friends or family.

I've had to wait for a seat during peak times, but the friendly and fast service has always made up for it.

Their bread pudding is a decent dessert option, but I'm particularly fond of their banana pudding cheesecake - it tastes just like my mom's recipe.

What truly sets BeauxJax Crafthouse apart, however, is their outdoor patio.

It's clear they put a lot of effort into creating a welcoming and entertaining space.

The stage is big enough to host large concerts, and there's plenty of seating and activities like corn hole to keep everyone entertained.

My most memorable experience there was a night we got to enjoy the Darren Morris Band while playing several rounds of corn hole.

I'm always excited to return to BeauxJax Crafthouse and try more of their menu offerings, as well as catch more live music on their fantastic patio!

Greek Corner

I recently dined at Greek Corner and was pleasantly surprised by the authentic Greek cuisine they had to offer.

This family-run restaurant is tucked away in Bossier, and as soon as I walked in, I felt like I was transported to a casual eatery in Greece with its simple interior and amazing murals of what I believe to be Lebanon.

The service was extremely friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious.

I started off with the hummus and pita, which was a perfect appetizer to share with my friends.

The falafel pita wrap was the star of the show, and I have to say, it was one of the best I've ever tasted.

My friends also raved about the traditional Yero Plate and the grilled feta.

Sushi Gen

Last Friday, my friends and I decided to have dinner at Sushi Gen, one of our favorite local sushi restaurants.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting.

We didn't have to wait long for our food, and we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and delicious flavors.

I ordered the Spicy California roll, which lived up to its reputation as being one of the best in town.

The fried rice was also a standout, and the spicy mayo sauce truly took it to another level.

During our visit, we noticed a family celebrating their son's college enrollment, and it was evident that Sushi Gen is a place where the community comes together to enjoy good food and create lasting memories.

Just remember that they close from 2:30-4:30 PM, so plan your visit accordingly.

Red River Brewpub @ the Garage

I've been a regular at the original Shreveport location of Red River Brewpub @ the Garage and recently had the chance to visit their new location.

I must say that they've done a fantastic job transitioning from a niche bar to a full-fledged restaurant.

The new atmosphere is incredible - it's nicely furnished, spacious, and has an amazing turfed patio for outdoor enjoyment.

Just like before, they have many games and events, including cornhole, making it a perfect place to hang out with friends.

The service was incredibly kind and approachable, and their positive attitude is definitely infectious.

As for the food, it's as good as it's ever been. They specialize in burgers, which are out of this world.

Although there may be a bit of a wait on busier nights, spending time with friends and relaxing makes the time fly by.

While their personal brews are still on the way, they currently have a solid tap list featuring local brewery specialties from all over Louisiana.

Additionally, their new cocktail lineup is a home run.

My favorite is The Lark, which I'm obliged to love since it shares my nickname!

Red River Brewpub still hosts fun event nights as they did at the original location.

They have trivia nights every Tuesday at 7 pm and live entertainment most weekend evenings around the same time.

It's definitely exciting to see them thriving at their new and improved location.

Patty Shack

Just last week, I decided to try something new for lunch and went to Patty Shack in Bossier City. The moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the clean and welcoming ambiance. Even the restroom was spotless! I placed my order on a touchscreen up front and then eagerly awaited my meal.

To my surprise and amusement, a little robot rolled up to my table with my double cheeseburger, fries, and drink on a tray. It was like something straight out of The Jetsons! Although I'm not a fan of American cheese slices, the burger itself was quite tasty, albeit a bit overshadowed by the cheese. The fries were cooked to perfection and the bun was delectable.

I went back with my son a few days later, and he was absolutely thrilled by the robot server. The burgers were just as good as before, and it was a much better experience than going to a typical drive-thru joint. I'll definitely be bringing my other kids here for the delightful robotic experience, and I'm more than happy to support a local business that offers such great food and service.

Sam's Southern Eatery

One of my go-to spots for a delicious and satisfying meal is Sam's Southern Eatery.

Their southern-style po'boys, burgers, and fried fish are served in generous portions, which makes it a perfect choice for a hearty meal.

Whenever I have friends or family visiting, I make sure to take them there to enjoy the mouthwatering shrimp and fish.

The food never disappoints, and the tartar sauce is the best I've had, with a slight Cajun kick that makes it even more delicious!

Their fried shrimp po' boy is simply the best in town, and I have tried several places to compare.

The fries are also amazing, especially when dipped in their tartar sauce.

My partner usually goes for the 2 fish and 2 shrimp combo, which is also a great choice for seafood lovers.

Port City Bar B Que

My go-to spot for amazing barbecue in town is definitely Port City Bar B Que.

I just can't get enough of their homemade barbecue sauces, and the brisket is out of this world.

The grits are perfectly cheesy and seasoned, making them an excellent side dish.

I have to say, though, the best thing about this place is their cole slaw.

I've been to a lot of barbecue places, but Port City Bar B Que has my favorite cole slaw in town.

The prices can be a bit high for some items, like a $10 brisket sandwich and chips, but the flavor and quality are well worth it.

Plus, their portions are generous, so you won't leave hungry.

Oh, and don't even get me started on their desserts!

El Patio Bar & Grill

One of my favorite places in town for a great Mexican meal is definitely El Patio Bar & Grill.

I've been there quite a few times already, and I must say, the food is always authentic and full of flavor.

Just last week, I went with some friends and had the Burrito Burro Loco, which was absolutely delicious.

My friends enjoyed Combination Dinner #5, and they couldn't stop raving about it.

What truly sets this place apart, though, is the atmosphere.

The music always sets the perfect vibe as you dine, and there are multiple indoor seating areas as well as a large outdoor patio, making it the perfect place to enjoy a warm evening.

The TVs scattered around also make it a great spot for watching a game with friends.

We also tried their margaritas, which were expertly mixed with just the right balance of tequila and mix.

The restaurant is always clean, and the restrooms are well-maintained.

Moreover, finding street parking nearby has never been an issue.

Ramirez Mexican Restaurant

Just the other day, I decided to finally give Ramirez Mexican Restaurant a try after hearing so many great things about it from my friends.

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a bowl of their renowned salsa and a basket of chips.

I must say, the salsa lived up to the hype - it was incredibly tasty with just the right amount of spice.

For my main course, I opted for chicken street tacos with a side of rice and beans.

The tacos were delicious, scoring a solid 7 out of 10 in my book, and the rice was an impressive 8.

Cafe USA

Oh, how I love stopping by Cafe USA for a meal! One time, I decided to try their Fried Pickle Spears and let me tell you, they were amazing - so juicy and flavorful!

As for their main courses, I've had the Burger with Tots, which is always cooked to perfection - crispy tots and a juicy, well-seasoned burger with plenty of toppings.

My partner, on the other hand, usually goes for the daily special - he particularly enjoyed the Chicken Alfredo with Broccoli and Cheese, Garlic Bread, and Chocolate Cake.

Their breakfast options are also delightful!

I've tried their Pork Chops and Eggs over easy with hashbrowns and toast, and it was cooked just right, leaving me craving for more.

The atmosphere is fun and patriotic, with a tribute to our veterans, which I absolutely appreciate.

And if you're ever in the mood for something sweet, do not miss out on their cinnamon rolls - they're heavenly!
