We decided to go for the lemon pepper flavor with the sauce on the side, and it was absolutely delicious.

The interior decor of Charlie's Restaurant is a treat for aviation enthusiasts, and I always make sure to grab a window seat to watch planes land and take off.
Although the portion sizes may not be the largest, the food is consistently good and satisfying.
Tanaka Ramen
The other day, I decided to try out Tanaka Ramen (https://tanakaramenil.com/) for the first time, and I was absolutely impressed!
I ordered the pork rice bowl, and it was delectable.
The portion was so huge that I actually had leftovers for dinner and still had a whole third portion remaining.
I also tried the 5-piece fried chicken appetizer, which was equally amazing, especially with the spicy mayo it comes with.
Speaking of spicy mayo, I decided to mix in a side of it with my pork rice bowl, and it was totally worth the extra 75 cents.
Although I found the pricing to be a bit steep, the generous portions made it worth every penny.
I also tried their taro milk tea and panda milk matcha tea, both of which were delightful.
The bubble tea and milk options at Tanaka Ramen are abundant, and I thoroughly enjoyed their brown sugar bubble tea, which I highly recommend.
While the food and drinks were fantastic, what really stood out to me was the ambiance.
The fun decorations, including Pokemon figures, really put a smile on my face.
Taquería El Valle
I've been coming to Taquería El Valle for a while now, and it's hands down one of the best taco spots in town.
Their authentic Mexican food is absolutely delicious, and the plates are always well-served and seasoned to perfection, making it a favorite spot for many of us locals.
My personal favorite dish is the cecina steak–it's just incredible!
One thing that really stands out at Taquería El Valle is the exceptional customer service.

My go-to sushi spot in the neighborhood has to be OTOBO Sushi & Bar.

I've had nights where I've ordered drinks, specialty rolls, and ramen and been out the door in 30 minutes.
I've enjoyed their Asian fusion dishes and their unique sushi rolls, which make up for the slightly higher costs.
The atmosphere is different from your typical sushi restaurant, with a more hipster vibe and a top 10 playlist as the background music.
Nonetheless, it is still a great place to dine in, and they don't make you feel rushed even after you have paid the bill.
One of my favorite things about OTOBO is their special dining area, perfect for hosting a birthday dinner or any other intimate celebration.
Krafted Burger Bar + Tap
One of my favorite places to hang out and grab a bite with friends is Krafted Burger Bar + Tap.
Whenever we go, we love the welcoming atmosphere and the spacious indoor and outdoor seating options.
The menu is filled with delicious choices, and the bar offers a wide variety of drinks.
On my last visit, I had an amazing cheeseburger with bacon and egg while my friends tried the hot chicken sandwich and chicken tenders appetizer.
Everyone left happy and satisfied with their meals.
Aside from the great food, Krafted Burger Bar + Tap also has an impressive drink selection, featuring 50 craft beers on tap and a range of creative cocktails.
The prices are reasonable, and the quality of the food and drinks is top-notch.
I can't wait to go back and try their pizzas and maybe catch some live music too.
Bar Louie - The Promenade Bolingbrook
On a recent Thursday night, my family and I decided to grab dinner at Bar Louie - The Promenade Bolingbrook.
I've always enjoyed the lively atmosphere of this upbeat grill chain, and their variety of American grub, martinis, and microbrews never disappoint!
We started with some pretzel bites and cheese curds for appetizers.
For our main courses, I opted for the honey chicken, which had a fantastic blend of flavor and spice.

Prices are also reasonable.
My partner particularly enjoyed the old-fashioned cocktail, and we both thought the $12.50 calamari could've had a bit more in the portion.

Just last week, I finally decided to try out Nest Bar & Grill after hearing so much about it from my friends.
Located at Bolingbrook Golf Club, it's an upscale-casual dining space perfect for those who love American cuisine, a drink or two, and watching sports on TV.
We tried the Chicken Milanese and a BBQ Chicken Flatbread, both of which were absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for winding down after a day on the course.
I also visited on St. Patrick's Day, and the place was brimming with festive vibes!
The Corned Beef, cabbage, and potatoes were incredibly tasty.
I can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu.

Everything was delicious, and it was evident that the food was freshly made.
The portions were indeed huge, and my partner's Lumberjack dish even had enough food for a full second plate.
The sweet potato fries were also a hit and were more than enough to share with everyone at the table.
Danny's Pizza and Burger Bar
I had the chance to visit Danny's Pizza and Burger Bar after a tree-lighting ceremony last weekend, and I must say, it did not disappoint.
I absolutely loved their meatball and pepperoni pizza, which reminded me of the ones I enjoyed during my childhood.
Their menu is quite diverse, and I've been back several times in the past few weeks to try out different dishes.
The wings (bone-in) and onion rings are to die for, and though their pizza is quite good, it's actually their underrated burgers that have me hooked!
Not only is the food at Danny's top-notch, but the service is exceptional too.
The atmosphere at Danny's is casual and cool, with flat-screen TVs everywhere, so you don't miss any game action.
When the weather is nice, I love to take advantage of their comfortable outdoor seating area.
Mama Maria Pizza
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Mama Maria Pizza in the southern suburbs, and it was a delightful experience!
The fresh pizza made to order with tons of options was definitely a highlight.
The prices were very reasonable, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that this location also offers burgers and delicious fried chicken, perfect for satisfying any of my cravings.
It's worth noting that all their chicken, beef, sausage, and pepperoni are halal, and they have a good variety of drinks available.
The free parking was a nice bonus as well.
Jumbo Crab
Jumbo Crab is a seafood restaurant I recently visited in my neighborhood.
It was a delightful experience overall, with the seafood being incredibly fresh and delicious.
One of the highlights for me was opening the bag when I received my order, which added a fun aspect to the meal.
I went for lunch on a Thursday, and the service was impressively quick.
To my surprise, we received free cheesy bread, and our seafood platter was served within just 20 minutes of ordering.
Plus, the music playing in the restaurant was fantastic.
The small seafood platter we ordered turned out to be a huge portion, and the price was quite reasonable at $43.
We also ordered a side of cajun butter, which really enhanced the flavor of the dish.
Ko Sushi
Living in this neighborhood, I've always been on the lookout for great sushi spots, and I have found one of the best in Ko Sushi.
It's a hidden gem tucked away in a business park with other small local stores, and I definitely did not expect such a fantastic experience when I first visited.

The Port of Peri Peri
I have to tell you about my recent visit to The Port of Peri Peri, a fantastic Portuguese restaurant in my neighborhood.
My taste buds were in for a treat as soon as I stepped inside this chic, upscale dining area.
The moment I tasted their white creamy garlic sauce, I knew I was in for an unforgettable meal.
The rice bowls were outstanding, with perfectly cooked, flavorful chicken and excellent falafel.
Even the corn and cassava fries were delightful, especially when dipped in that addictive garlic sauce.
The portions were generous, and as I looked around, I noticed that everyone seemed content and patiently waiting for their delicious food.
One thing that truly stood out was the friendly and helpful service.
Our host, Leyla, helped us make up our minds on what to eat and ensured that our dining experience was top-notch.
I could tell that the restaurant was bustling, with a long line out to the front doors and multiple deliveries happening as we sat near the exit.
Despite the busy atmosphere, they were able to move business along quickly and efficiently.
I'm already planning my next visit to The Port of Peri Peri, and this time, I won't forget to save room for dessert!
